The Play for the Future Foundation is a non-profit society registered in British Columbia Canada.
Our purpose
”To contribute to the social development, physical health and emotional wellness of children, youth and young adults suffering from the effects of living with epidemic disease, poverty, armed conflict, dislocation, social upheaval or a combination of these afflictions.”
Our passion
Our passion is sport, because of the magic it can work on people's lives. Sport is good for the body and for the mind, it engages people, and it extends their capacities. Organizations or programs we assist will use sport, sports gear, and sports people to build platforms for health, education and community development around the world.
What we are up to
We are working closely with Big Bucks Games Interactive Inc, a developer of on-line internet sports games. The company's games are virtual worlds where players create and manage teams and compete in leagues and tournaments. In the real world, team owners and players sometimes decide to support charitable causes. BBGI is giving game players similar opportunities to do good, learn and have fun at the same time.
Our first job as an independent Foundation is to use wisely money raised in the game environments. The relationship also gives us a powerful tool to teach and to involve young people in the lives of their afflicted brothers and sisters.
