PLAY for the FUTURE was founded in 2022 in response to the lack of opportunities for kids of lower income families to play sports. As youth founders, we wanted to find a way to reduce inequity and give all kids the opportunity to have the joy and excitement of playing sports. As athletes ourselves, we saw the amount of sports equipment that accumulated in our own garages over the years due to outgrowth of equipment every year. It is from this that we decided to create an organization that focuses on sports equipment drives where people can donate their unused sports gear to be redistributed to kids in need. In addition, our sports skill clinics go beyond just providing gear—we offer fun, hands-on experiences that teach essential skills and give every child the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of sports.
